Where a high level of size reduction & dispersing takes place in a
pressurized chamber. A shaft fitted with wear resistant impeller discs
agitates the grinding media. Particle size reduction in sub-micron size
is possible in a single pass. Mills are equipped with a cooling chamber
as a standard feature.

Attritor |

Frigmaires Attritor is used for producing fine &
homogeneous dispersions quickly & repeatedly under controlled
conditions. Used for the manufacture of ceramics, inks, paints,
coatings, metal oxides, ferrites, chocolates, chemicals & allied
products. The Attritor is often referred to as a agitated ball mill. The
material to be ground is charged into a vertical tank filled with
grinding media. Both the material and grinding media are then agitated
by a shaft with arms causing the media to exert shearing & impact
forces on the material. This action produces an extremely fine material
measured in microns. No pre-mixing is required. All attritors are
provided with cooling jackets. Recirculating facility is available as
optional.

Bead Mill |

|
Bead bills reduce particles to sub micron size.
Consisting of a cylindrical vessel that contains a motor-driven central
shaft, which is equipped with impellers of different types. Bead mill
comes with an enclosed vessel. While operating this enclosed vessel is
filled with grinding media, agitator shaft activates media, creating
shearing and strong forces. Rotation of agitator imparts energy to
surrounding media. Forces either fracture, tear, or crush particulate.
It can be operated continuously since it is equipped with devices, which
retain the beads within the milling chamber. Then the final product is
evenly dispersed in liquid.

Disperser |

|
A Disperser is a single shaft mixer used to break
apart or dissolve solid particles in a liquid. This is typically
accomplished using a "saw tooth" blade rotating at high speed
(approximately 5200 feet per minute peripheral speed). The blade imparts
high shear forces to the ingredients to be dispersed, breaking them
apart. Through proper blade selection and sizing, a flow can be
established that will repeatedly turn over the batch and yield a
homogeneous product. Dispersers are most often used to mix low viscosity
products such as paints.

Putty Mixer |

|
Putty Mixer is excellent for mixing of putties and
high viscosity material. The discharge is from the bottom valve. Two
shafts run in opposite directions. The shafts are mounted on bearing
blocks. The blades are fabricated from plates and are clamped onto the
shaft for easy maintenance. The final drive run through rear gears in an
oil bath. The entire machine is fitted on a sturdy frame fabricated to
minimize vibrations.
